Browns' 4th Quarter Rally Stuns Packers in 13-10 Comeback Victory: Game Notes
Against all odds they pulled out a stunner at Huntington Bank Field. Here are the details.

Folks, that was it. Like the one flush golf swing on a brutal back nine, the Browns reminded us why we show up. They took the pain and disgust of the first two weeks and turned it into some of that rare Sunday magic that keeps us glued to the couch during the tough times. We dream of the days when these sorts of outcomes become the norm instead of the outlier. But for now, let’s be clear—we’ll always take the outliers. It was pure magic in that stadium today.
The Browns struggled offensively through three quarters, but instead of feeling sorry for themselves, they picked each other up in the fourth. In that final frame, they outgained the Packers by 40 yards, forced a turnover, and scored 13 unanswered points to stun the NFC North leaders. You could feel the emotional release after this game.
I simply cannot wait to dig into the details, but for now, we revel in this outcome—the kind you share with your family, smiling, and hugging. The kind that reminds us why we come together against the odds and care all the same. They pulled some 2023 magic out of their hat today, and it was such a joy to watch that I was too excited after the post-game show to put up the ending for my sons that I forgot I needed to write this article.
Don’t fret, though—I made it back to the office. Here are the Week 3 VICTORY Game Notes following an emotional locker room scene with Kevin Stefanski and company.
The offense continues to struggle. There is no way around the discussion. They mustered just north of 100 yards through three quarters before finding a spark in the final frame. Being down two starting tackles, as Dawand Jones left early, will do that to you against a pass rush as formidable as what Green Bay brings to the table, but the Browns have to find some identity in the coming weeks to score enough to win more games. But overall, too many rushers coming through untouched in these three games.
Another challenging day for Joe Flacco to say the least. He was under pressure all day as the Packers created 17 pressures from the first data wrap but there are also moments where Flacco seems to be missing throws to be made downfield. The missing open throws outcome usually comes when a quarterback doesn’t trust his protection the way he needs to be. Something has to give. He finished just 21/36 for 142 yards and the late heave interception. His best ball of the day came on a deep in-breaker to Jerry Jeudy for 17 yards. You can see the pressure he was facing.
The Browns will have to decide if Flacco is the issue with this offense or if the surrounding elements are failing him. That will drive the decision to move off the veteran to allow Dillon Gabriel an opportunity. I will be certain to watch the film and provide some analysis on the topic tomorrow.
The backfield was basically the Quinshon Judkins show throughout. The rookie ran for 94 yards on 18 carries and scored his first touchdown as well. He is who I thought he was. A nice balance of vision, contact balance, strength, and shiftiness in tight spaces. He is going to be a good one. The 38-yard run in the early 4th quarter displayed it all.
It’s a bit of a mystery why Judkins dominated the snaps and touches to the degree he did this week. Dylan Sampson was the only other running back to get a carry — only one carry — and Jerome Ford found the field for 19 pass game snaps. Sampson being iced out is a peculiar decision. It points to a lack of faith in his pass protection skills.
It was a rough day for the wide receiver group again. Jeudy was held to just the one catch and Cedric Tillman had just three catches for 26 yards and creating a negative on his push-off offensive pass interference call. Isaiah Bond had several chances hauling-in two of his four targets for 16 yards and it is clear he is their third receiver option. The Browns will need much more from this group to find any consistent level of success the rest of the year.
