This morning, I am going to vent. Some might need to hear it. Some might not. But I need to get this out for maybe the tenth time in the last three years.
What pains me as much as the Browns struggles this year is the fact that the AFC North has, without much debate, two of the best quarterbacks in the league and last night was a stark reminder. The Bengals traveled to Baltimore to take on the Ravens in Thursday Night Football and what started slow turned into a fun finish for the average viewer. I, however, can’t watch it from that perspective as I just find myself more annoyed and frustrated than anything else because these two quarterbacks live in this division — of all the divisions the sport can offer.
The back and forth display from the two signal-callers propping their respective teams up (also, Ja’Marr Chase) with one big-time-throw after another, and defeating pressure all night by staring it down or extending plays with their legs, was something to behold. Again, if you want to see what the Browns were chasing theoretically with Deshaun Watson the quarterback, that was it. These guys are playing exceptional football last night and it sucked to watch.
Reminder on what we’re doing with these Newsletters each morning:
We will aim to do with this Morning Newsletter — give you something new to know. This Newsletter won’t be over-saturated with links to click on or anything useless but rather something small, concise, and meaningful that has to do with the Browns each morning. Topics will vary but normally it’ll be something I watched on film review, or something I noticed about the next opponent, or a college player I think you should know ahead of the off-season. Just a piece of information I think is worth your time and definitely won’t waste your time. That is what you can expect. And with a nice and direct link to your daily podcast as well.
Here’s a viewing twist to the punishment.
