Browns Select Tight End Harold Fannin Jr. with 67th Overall Pick
The Browns are keeping the hometown MAC stud in Ohio.

The Browns needed to address their tight end depth and they did so by keeping the local product, Harold Fannin Jr., inside the state of Ohio with the 67th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. With Kevin Stefanski’s return to his more TE-dense approach this need had to be attacked and they decided to be patient on the options until the third round and it appears to have paid off.
While not a big body or flat line speed blazer at the position, Fannin is a great athlete in the burst and change-of-direction aspects of the position alongside quality strength.
Born and raised in Canton, Fannin Jr. was a standout at McKinley High School mostly as a safety but saw some time as a wide receiver late in his career. Much like Carson Schwesinger selected earlier tonight, Fannin Jr. was a no-star recruit who had to fight his way into an opportunity. He received FBS offers from local MAC schools but struggled academically during the pandemic and many programs moved off their offers. He locked in during his senior season and got the grades in line to become a qualifier. Bowling Green found room for him late in the cycle and the decision paid off.
The Falcons moved Fannin Jr. to the “A” Tight End role which was a diverse position split between the slot, wing, and inline as a traditional tight end. He was used a weapon and it paid off big time. After a sophomore season where he went for 623 receiving yards and six touchdowns, he accumulated a whopping 1,555 receiving yards in his junior year and 10 touchdowns. The results earned him a Consensus All-American award, MAC MVP Trophy, MAC Player of the Year Award, and First Team All-MAC.
