Happy Wednesday everyone!
Apologies for the delay as I had to get cavity fixed for the first time in two decades and it left me reeling through the morning. Nobody reminded me how rough these things can be and let’s just say I was ill-prepared. All seems solved now so dental hygiene is on the up and up.
Before I pass it over to Jordan’s write-up for the day (a good one, I assure you) I just have to remind everyone how frustrating the Juan Thornhill experience has been and what pushed me to the boiling point.
He has only played in 13 meaningful games across two seasons in Cleveland, has two total passes defended, and zero turnovers forced. He has been a disappointment on the field compared to his Chiefs’ run and has also been vocal on social media in the worst ways.
What prompted most of my anger was two particular plays on Sunday. First, the Saints ran a bootleg on short yardage and Thornhill completely fooled by the run-action, overcommits opposite, and is left out of position. Look, that happens on occasion as offenses are paid too, but what isn’t acceptable is his lack of effort in trying to run this play down. A play he could have been close to tackling at the end if he ran as hard as he could.
