These nine days leading up to the NFL Draft are some of the worst and best at the same time. We get so much anticipation but at this time we are completely drained with the hypotheticals and those completely entrenched in their stance or belief about prospects or pathways for the organization. The best part of this stretch of time is what could be and it’s exciting to get that experience again soon.
The trends continue to push toward Travis Hunter being the second overall pick and heading to Cleveland and he continues to push his conviction he is playing both ways or he would prefer teams to steer clear of him in a few weeks. I have little doubt the Browns are open to that pathway — as all teams should be with a talent as special as this. Adbul Carter continues to linger with plenty of appeal, including his chess game, but Carter is just too obvious for a myriad of reasons I have covered too many times and you’re probably tired of hearing it.
