It’s been quite a week. If you missed the past few episodes of the Browns Film Breakdown Podcast it has been a mini personal journey of self-discovery about how I think about the Browns current predicament. My mind has been racing on the topic of what has gone so wrong in the five years of Kevin Stefanski’s offense and the decisions around it. It boils down to this simple fact: the effort to salvage a bad quarterback trade has sabotaged almost everything in the organization. That’s the path we’re on here. Make no mistake about it. Some of the deeds have been done, but some remain to be seen. All of which are important.
As I try to break down every detail of how the Browns offense has gone from league’s best to failed project over the course of Stefanski’s tenure, we are reminded weekly about how desperation impacts the conversation we find ourselves entrenched. Today’s version was brought on by a decision made by the Atlanta Falcons organization late last night to bench Kirk Cousins.
