The most important parts of the Browns’ Summer have come and gone and with those OTA and minicamp sessions finished there have been some takeaways from them and some insight into what the organization feels is the best pathway forward in a tricky transition-type season we have in 2025.
I have been able to gather some opinions from folks who have a pulse on things and from those discussions create some insights that can be shared with you based on banter. Obviously everything is not shared directly and it takes some simple dot connection to provide the bigger takeaways.
Let’s dig into what I have learned about the offense from the summer sessions.
The offense does look and feel more like what Kevin Stefanski has traditionally run when calling plays. Working away from hyper-focused to one specific player and away from a passive RPO heavy appraoch. They will seek diversity in both phases. The return of wide zone was noted, as discussed by Duce Staley, but they have also evolved beyond that.
