College football’s best weekend is here my people. We had some great games last night with Arizona State pulling off the win late over a talented TCU squad and then Virginia upsetting Florida State like something out of the 1990s. The Saturday slate is so so good. We have something great in each time slot. The noon slot has No. 21 USC at No.23 Illinois and No. 22 Notre Dame at Arkansas — even mid-level games of intrigue like Cincinnati at Kansas.

The 3:30 window has No. 1 Ohio State at Washington, the big SEC clash with Garrett Nussmeier and No. 4 LSU at No. 13 Ole Miss, Auburn at No. 9 Texas A&M, No. 11 Indiana at Iowa, and No. 15 Tennessee at undefeated Mississippi State. Then the late slate gets even more elite with today’s focus player and the Ducks at Penn State, and the other big one with No. 17 Alabama at No. 5 Georgia. You can even catch LaNorris Sellers and South Carolina hosting Kentucky late for more scouting purposes.

I mean, come on. This is THE day in college football. Don’t miss any of the action.

Reminder: The Browns have TWO first round picks coming in this year's NFL Draft, each Saturday we will highlight a player worth watching with the Browns’ prospect preferences in mind! Obviously we will focus on the highest-ranked prospects this year because the Browns could have a wide range of outcomes for their pick, but we will expand beyond that scope at times.

It will be impossible to think about the 2026 Cleveland Browns without thinking about who their next quarterback selection could be so that will be a consistent theme of these spotlights throughout the year, but I promise we will branch out in other ways as well.

As I noted above, we are focused on State College tonight for the key B1G matchup. The Ducks have a quarterback who is becoming the fastest rising player at the position this cycle with an exciting opportunity to seize control of the top of draft boards. Let’s talk about Dante Moore.

History

Moore was born in East Cleveland of all places and grew up in nearby Elyria until the family moved to Detroit during his childhood. He played his high school football at Martin Luther King High School. He needed to grow during the early high school years and got the job his junior year. He then thrived and led MLK to two straight State Championships and won Mr. Football Michigan in 2021. He was ranked No. 2 overall by ESPN and No. 3 overall by 247Sports in the 2023 class and was initially committed to Oregon before flipping late to Chip Kelly and UCLA.

He won the job as a true freshman at UCLA and started right away. Moore’s play was uneven as the whole roster struggled and Kelly turned to veterans at the position on multiple occasions. He started five games and played in nine for the Bruins overall before entering the Transfer Portal following the season. He landed at Oregon and sat for a year backing up Dillon Gabriel before getting his opportunity to start this season — where he is thriving.
