Conference Championship Weekend is here and while it’s sad to be in a position to lose the weekly slate of full college games, we do get the best of the best going today with an eye on the College Football Playoffs starting soon. The SEC has an elite rematch in Georgia and Texas — with the Longhorns eyeing some revenge. The B1G also gives is a great matchup with Penn State squaring off with newcomer Oregon. Ironic both big-time conferences have newcomers making the appearance in the first Conference Championship they could.

With elite teams matching up across the board that means we get elite prospects and the 3-9 Browns are eyeing all of them with the hope of adding a much-needed playmaker to the fold on a rookie deal. Today we focus on the Midwest Battle in Indianapolis today as Abdul Carter is looking to lift Penn State to their first B1G title in some time and boost his profile for the 2025 NFL Draft.
History
Carter came to Penn State from La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania as a four-star recruit. He chose the Nittany Lions over South Carolina and Ole Miss. He made his impact early at Penn State starting most of his true freshman season after enrolling early. He earned Second-Team All-B1G in the 2022 season.
The awards kept coming as the EDGE earned First-Team All-B1G in 2023 and this now in 2024 as well. He also won B1G Defensive Lineman and Player of the Year Awards.
