The GameDay Opening Drive 11/9: Breaking Out in the Big Apple
The Browns look to win their third game of the season in New York today against the Jets.

Somehow Week 10 is already here and the Browns are back at it in New York as they take on the Jets. Both teams are in the lower-class of the AFC and both are favorites to select high in the 2026 NFL Draft yet the Browns are still not totally out of the division race if they can string together several wins on the backside of the schedule that has plenty of winning opportunities. But you will likely hear plenty about a preference to lose games from here on out as a means to getting the quarterback who can be the long-term solution. I certainly understand the sentiment, but it is tough going into a GameDay without the desire to see the Browns win — not this early.
The Browns will roll out Tommy Rees to run the offense today in a way that mirrors the failure of the offense in 2024. We will see if the coordinator change yields better results this year than last year for the Browns and whether or not Dillon Gabriel can start to make some strides in the right direction. The Jets will start someone at quarterback today, it remains to be seen who, and how the Browns bounce back from their worst defensive performance of the season before the bye week will also be of interest.
Let’s see which team shows up with the most drive to win today.
