The Browns’ offensive staff is now coming together. As one would expect, it’s basically a Baltimore reunion. We know over the weekend Monken hired George Warhop to coach the offensive line, and today we got news that Travis Switzer, the Ravens run game coordinator, is joining as the offensive coordinator.

Switzer’s playing days background is deep rooted in run game as an offensive lineman at Akron University before getting his chance to join the Ravens organization in 2017. He has done nothing but impress every step of the way. Here’s a running list of his job titles in Baltimore. He was the first run game coordinator the team employed under previous head coach John Harbaugh.

2017: Admin Assistant - Performance
2018: Staff Assistant - Performance
2019: Coaching Analyst - Offense
2020: Coaching Analyst - Offense
2021: Offensive Quality Control
2022: Offensive Assistant
2023: Offensive Quality Control
2024: Run Game Coordinator
2025: Run Game Coordinator

Switzer finished as the runner up for the Seahawks offensive coordinator job last offseason before it went to Klint Kubiak. it is clear the NFL respects what he has been doing in the rushing phase of the game.

During his recent stint helping run the Ravens run game he helped them establish some of the league’s best attacks. Here’s the Ravens’ EPA per rush and rankings over the past three seasons under Monken and Switzer:

2023: +0.009 (3rd)
2024: +0.053 (2nd)
2025: +0.038 (3rd)

The Ravens had greater than a 45.0% rush success rate in two of those three seasons. For context, the Browns have eclipsed 40.0% only three times in the past decade (2020 thru 2022). In 2025, the Browns rushing offense had the 4th-highest stuffed rate (20.2%) and was dead last in yards before contact per attempt (0.56).

We will learn more about Switzer in the coming week but between Monken’s ability to develop passing concepts from multiple coaching trees, and Switzer’s ability to work the run game with Warhop, you can see the vision being put in place on that side of the ball.

Players Catching Buzz Down in Mobile

The Senior Bowl is in full effect and the practice clips are flying. The competition is fierce and there seem to be some clear names establishing themselves as “risers” in the process. I’m fortunate enough to have access to the All-22 practice tape to review and I’ve found a select few names that should be on the Browns radar.
