The Opening Drive 2/24: Cleveland Browns Draft Interest: Freaks List Players In The 2026 Draft
Looking at the freakiest athletes in this class according to Bruce Feldman's annual Freak's list.
From a Cleveland perspective, Bruce Feldman’s Freaks List offers a particularly intriguing pool at offensive tackle, where the Browns could look to stabilize the future of the position with elite physical traits. Kadyn Proctor (Alabama) and Francis Mauigoa (Miami) headline the group as rare size-movement athletes with prototype NFL frames and high ceilings. Proctor’s combination of mass, length, and improving foot quickness fits the mold of a long-term left tackle, while Mauigoa brings arguably the best blend of power and natural movement skills in the class. Spencer Fano (Utah) also stands out as a high-level technician with outstanding explosiveness and leverage strength, offering scheme versatility that would appeal to Cleveland’s offensive philosophy. Given the Browns’ recent inconsistency and injuries along the offensive line, investing in a premium traits tackle would align with Andrew Berry’s historical emphasis on trench dominance.
At wide receiver, the Freaks group still includes explosive athletes who could help reshape Cleveland’s passing game. Zachariah Branch (Georgia) stands out as the premier talent and an elite accelerator, with rare change-of-direction and game-breaking ability after the catch. Branch projects as a dynamic separator who can win quickly and create yards in space, making him an ideal fit for a modern spacing offense. Beyond Branch, players like Jordyn Tyson will come off the board quickly, given their intriguing size-speed upside and potential to complement the Browns’ current receiver room. The 2026 receiver group provides Cleveland opportunities to add premium athletic talent at a position that could define the next phase of the roster build.

I was wondering if any of the following could be a replacement for JOK: either Perkins LB, the Warren kid from Toledo, Louis from Pitt, or Moore from Florida. Some are smaller LB's, and others are that bigger S or CB. Just in case JOK, doesn't return...which I hope he does.
