The Opening Drive 4/2: Five Under-Discussed Browns Targets in the 2026 NFL Draft
With the Epenesa deal falling apart, we look at some of the best options for filling that role through the NFL Draft and Free Agency.

As the 2026 NFL Draft approaches I noticed the usual pattern is starting to unfold. Browns fans and analysts start doing their annual mock drafts and discussing prospects and upon those drafts the same prospects always come up. It happened last year in the banter around Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter and the Browns ended up selecting Mason Graham. The examples are there every year.
It feels like the same things are happening this year around several tackle prospects and receiver prospects. Monroe Freeling, Francis Mauigoa, Caleb Lomu, Spencer Fano, Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon, and Jordyn Tyson. We fall into patterns of discussion and each year the Browns seem to surprise us.
So, today I thought it would be a good exercise to bring forth five names I don’t think are being discussed enough for the Browns in their picks at 24 and 39 to bring some awareness to prospects who might end up calling Cleveland home. Let’s dig in.
