In the world of professional football, the line between imagination and reality can easily get blurry, often creating false narratives around players, teams, or specific games. Personal biases and the limited view from the game feed can also contribute to these distorted views. But rest easy, Browns fans, each week we’ll get to the truth of the matter through film analysis and game data in a series we’re calling “Fact or Fiction.”
Let’s get this going.
“The Browns do not have an identity on offense.”
Before the start of the regular season, a team’s coaching staff should have a singular, unified vision of what the “end game” for the offense will be. The Browns appear to be lacking in that regard at the moment.
On the surface, it seems that the Browns’ offense resembles an Inception-like spinning top with an unknown conclusion. Will it be RPO-focused, spread-focused, Kubiak play action/wide zone focused, or an (unfortunate) blend of the three? Regardless of that answer, the only point of clarity we have right now is the data indicating the worst offense in the league through Week 3:
