The Opening Drive 11/2: The Raiders Could Help Out Today
The guide for the best Browns outcome in the future is our only topic on a nice Sunday.

Good morning on this lovely stress-free Sunday as we embark on the rare NFL GameDay where the Browns can’t hurt us. They are idle, as are the Bengals, Jets, Eagles, and Bucs for the league’s Week 9 slate. This is a good time for them to get healthy, energized, and refocused for the remainder of the schedule. I do have some curiosity if the Browns regret not taking that bye week following the return from London instead of having to go straight to Pittsburgh, but that is a question for which we will never know the answer.
Today’s focus is all about the best outcomes for the Browns. Those outcomes are discussed through future draft picks — we see you Carnell Tate.
Tate’s performance should have those in Berea on notice about what a player of Tate’s caliber can do for their stalled passing game. The Browns have to take a serious swing at the position this cycle and Tate should be right at the front of the line.
Arvell Reese also had a ridiculous day and some NFL team is going to profit from his services. It was another special performance in a growing list of special performances.
This is not Buckeye Film Room, that has not been created….yet, but the performances were so special you can’t ignore them when you have two premium picks in the upcoming draft.
Before today’s NFL slate, though, we want to spend some time on which outcomes would help the Browns today and zoom in closely on the Jaguars trip out West to Las Vegas to really help the Browns cause.
Let’s get it rolling.

Here’s a look at the current non-playoff teams in the AFC with the Jags on the outside looking in but also with some very winnable games coming up on their schedule.
Jacksonville Jaguars (4-3)
Houston Texans (3-4)
Cincinnati Bengals (3-5)
Baltimore Ravens (3-5)
Las Vegas Raiders (2-5)
Cleveland Browns (2-6)
Miami Dolphins (2-7)
New York Jets (1-7)
Tennessee Titans (1-7)
Currently the Browns sit at the second tier of teams gunning for the first overall pick and let’s say that stink pile is only going to get more rotten from now until early-January. The Jaguars sit at a teetering point and today’s game could serve as the type that pushes a team into a downward spiral — on top of some bad injury luck — and into that Top-10 range the Browns were hoping for upon making the deal. The Browns currently sit at +2000 on the FanDuel odds list for the first overall pick where the Titans sit atop the board at +110. These odds can shift quickly, though.
The Jags have plenty of games to win over their final 10 games but many of these can also be lost of they stay on their current trend as they have lost two in a row. The Raiders could use a bounce back at home and they just sort of owe us one. Let’s hope the Vegas nightlife caught up with the Jags. Get it done, Pete Carroll.
Browns Film Breakdown will return soon with some fresh All-22 weekend content.

Bungles playing the Bears this week. Looks like they are going to lose. 2:42 left and J-Flacco
