The Opening Drive 2/27: Ohio State Temptations Are Real, and Browns NFLPA Report Cards
RAS is so back and those report cards cannot disappear quick enough for the Browns.

The Browns were well-represented at the combine so far and the local stars who stole the show yesterday, Sonny Styles and Arvell Reese, are certainly tempting when you watch them up close. We all know what the Browns have to do on offense to get this moving in the right direction and we don’t have to rehash what it takes to solve it. But, perhaps, they can make a move or two in the coming sixty days and leave themselves with the possibility of taking “BPA” when selecting at No. 6 or No. 24.
Let us just pretend for a moment, okay? Styles put on a show unlike the few unicorns we have seen the turn of the century and when you see a linebacker playing at 6’5” and over 240 pounds get compared athletically to Calvin Johnson you might need to consider the rarity.
Same goes for Reese who put on a clinic in the running session of his own despite not doing the jumps or agility testing. We saw the on-field drills, we know who these freaks are and how they would benefit the local team.
The Browns will be up at two positions in the first round where either name could be there. It is always possible a player labeled a “tweener” like Reese could fall to six and then Styles is an off-ball linebacker and you never quite know where they will land in the more analytically driven NFL. Him being available at 24 is not out of the question. The Browns will be tempted. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Cleveland Browns 2026 Staff Tracker
As the Browns work through their new staff in both the previous week, and coming weeks, we will do our best at Browns Film Breakdown to keep these updates in one precise location for you to constantly keep tabs on what the organization is doing.

The NFLPA Report Card were supposed to be withheld this year, but in true NFL coverage style…..they leaked. I thought elements of the whole thing would come out this year considering the data had already been collected but I didn’t expect to get the whole report.
Once again, they were not kind to the Browns overall as they repeated their 30th overall finishing spot across the league. Now, to be fair some ratings like previous head coach and coordinators are in here as well but you know how it goes with collecting data. It’s a timing thing.
Here is the comparison to the 2025 report.
Four new categories arrived in this years card with home field grading (quality of field and more), position coaches, and the coordinators. Most remained close to the same in the grading and it is a bummer the “Treatment of Families” went down. The Browns will naturally have some of this improve when they upgrade the facility in Berea and build their new stadium, but the treatment aspect of families, travel, food, and more has to improve. They need to win on the little details and maybe that can translate to more winning on the field. Worth a shot, I suppose.
